CSI Brenham (Christians Seeking Insight): Session 1: No Doubt: Sure of Forgiveness

Today we begin a six-week study in the book of 1 John as we review six things that we can be sure of.

Church News:

The church voted Sunday night to authorize our Trustees to sign the Earnest Money Contract for the sale of our Downtown Property. The Ad Hoc Downtown Property Committee is working to finalize the Seller Lease Back Agreement.

This Sunday:

Children’s Choir singing- both services.
Special Veterans Recognition at both services.
Parent-Child Dedication.
2022 Budget Q & A Session in Room A 110 @ 4:00pm – Also on Wednesday, 11/17, @ 6:00pm in Room A 110.

Relocation:

Soon we will be scheduling a work day for the temporary building. We will replace ceiling tiles and lay a paver path to the new building.
We are in, BUT WE AREN’T FINISHED!! Our students are crammed in our offices waiting on the Student Building to be built. Prayerfully consider giving so we can finish Phase One.

Ministry Volunteer Opportunities:

Operation Christmas Child – drop off boxes this week at 307 Sycamore St (Garage). 494 boxes were packed last Saturday at the packing party! See the drop-off schedule below.
Community Thanksgiving Meal – each year we join with Faith Mission to meet hunger needs and celebrate Thanksgiving.

First Impressions – with more guests arriving each week we need YOU and your smiling face. We have welcomed a lot of guests over the past three Sundays. This has also reinforced for us the importance of making sure we do a good job of welcoming guests. The First Impressions ministry offers different opportunities available to help welcome guests: Parking Team, Welcome Table Greeters, and Ushers. If you are looking for a place to serve on a rotation basis that will fill a great need we have or you’d simply like more information, please contact our associate pastor, Troy Sikes, at tsikes@fbc-brenham.org.
