Jan. 10, 2016: God is at Work Around You

This is but a brief summary guide.  Click "Read more" below.

          John 5: 18-20
          John 15:4-5, 9
          Philippians 2:13

          What is work?

          What is Man’s Work?

Today we will look a bit at God’s work.

John 5: 18-20
18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.
John 15:4-5, 9
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
Philippians 2:13

13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
How do we recognize God’s work?
Are you seeing God at work?
Once we recognize God’s work around us, what is our next step?

For next week read Jeremiah 31:3; John 14:23-24; John 6:44-45
