David Fisher, First Pastor of Brenham's FBC

Pastor Ross did a history of three of our church’s earliest pastors for the Encore luncheon in January. At the end of talking about these three men and the historical context of what was happening in our county at that time, I asked the question, “What’s the best way to honor our history?” 

This lead to talking about the importance of remembering history, which I believe is important. While this is important, I proposed that the best way to honor our history is to learn from them in order to be faithful today. I propose to you that we are most honoring of our past when we seek to be visionary, faithful, evangelistic, brave, etc. at our moment in history!
